Alleluia, alleluia, He is risen!
No day is more glorious than this one today! Savor it. Rejoice in it. Give thanks and be glad!
If the Good Friday run is an opportunity for sorrow and reflection, the Easter run is one of pure joy. My ideal Easter run is short, but fast — exhilarating. It involves an mp3 player with an appropriately festive playlist. It takes place in the bright sun, the warmth of God’s goodness. And it allows me the chance to thank Jesus for the gift of life experienced in every breath, made everlasting by His rising from the dead.
… then I go home and eat some chocolate!
“Thus it is written that the Christ would suffer
and rise from the dead on the third day
and that repentance, for the forgiveness of sins,
would be preached in his name
to all the nations, beginning from Jerusalem.
You are witnesses of these things.”
— Luke 24:46-48
Happy Easter, everyone!
