Catholic Runners as Crime-Fighters!

A couple of months ago I wrote about Rev. Bill Hegedusich, a running priest in Washington, D.C., who used his speed to catch a thief who had tried to rob the parish safe. Well, it turns out he has a whole crew of protégés: the Lansing Catholic High School cross-country team in Lansing, Michigan!

From the story in the Lansing State Journal titled Lansing Catholic runners help chase down suspect:
The students, members of the cross-country team, were running along Michigan Avenue near the Sears in Frandor at about 4:45 p.m. when they saw two Sears loss-prevention staffers chasing a man who apparently had left the store with an item, said Lansing Police Lt. Noel Garcia.
“As they were chasing him, they passed these cross-country kids, who got involved in the run,” Garcia said.
Ha! Way to LCHS! Godspeed!
